The Purpose here is not to judge, or lambast, or make anyone feel guilty, or to even point a finger. I am simply and sincerely trying to help you see the verses that perhaps you have never became aware of, and to enlighten your knowledge of the Word of God and what God has said about ‘falling away’. We have to constantly be focused on the Word of God, as the Word is Truth. We must stay the course throughout our walk with the Lord Jesus. There are a few words like: ‘worthy’, ‘vain’, ‘blameless’, ‘endure’, that you need to heed, these several words scream out ‘falling away from God’ if we don’t stay diligent.
1 Corinthians 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
The following Scriptures are an excerpt of what you need to do to endure and to remain steadfast with your walk in and with Christ! It is a fight to the finish, a constant effort on our part to stay true to the Lord Jesus.
Galatians 5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.
Galatians 5:2 Indeed I, Paul, say to you that if you become circumcised, Christ will profit you nothing.
Galatians 5:3 And I testify again to every man who becomes circumcised that he is a debtor to keep the whole law.
Galatians 5:4 You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace.
Another word that we must be aware of, is ‘approved’. The following Scripture will corroborate to you the importance of everything above.
2 Timothy 2:15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
The following Scriptures speak about being diligent or ‘else’?
Hebrews 4:11 Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience.
Hebrews 6:11 And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope until the end,
Hebrews 6:12 that you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
The following Scripture is a very big verse that tells you straightway that if you don’t stay faithful, you will not make it.
Hebrews 10:38 Now the just shall live by faith; But if anyone draws back, My soul has no pleasure in him.”
Remember, we need the Holy Spirit to give us strength and power so that we can succeed in following Jesus to the end. Please, this is just a Christian loving reminder to all of us that we must continue to be diligent and steadfast in our walk with Jesus. Please read the ‘fall from grace’ page which will show you all you need to do to endure to the end and become worthy of salvation. Also, remember and take note, not only can we stumble and fall losing our salvation, but that God does not give us unconditional love. So please, take heed to this post and read the page for the truth of God’s Word.
Jude 1:24 Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, And to present you faultless Before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy,
