I suppose, depending upon where you live in the world, will somewhat dictate the urgency on answering the call to serve the Lord Jesus Christ? Whether you choose eternal life or the other option no one really likes to talk about or wants to address anymore, it still comes down to you making that decision? However, the Word of God does not change, only people change and change things to accommodate themselves.
So, in order to make this more personal and close to home, I will be addressing ‘You’ in lieu of everyone as a whole. First of all, we need to understand the seriousness of committing ourselves to Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God. The alternative is continuing living your life without God, without the hope and promise of eternal life which will lead you to eternal hell which is eternal condemnation forever!
So, the question to you is, how bad do you want eternal life with Jesus Christ, or the serious punishment of eternal hell?
How bad do you want to live for God? For Jesus?
How bad do you want to know the truth?
How serious are you about living for Jesus?
How serious are you about following the Lord Jesus Christ?
How serious are you in wanting to know the truth?
How serious are you about wanting to receive the Holy Spirit?
How bad do you want to know what it takes to live for Jesus?
How serious are you about being obedient to the Word of God?
How bad do you want eternal life?
How bad do you want the Holy Spirit?
How serious are you about enduring your life with Jesus to the end?
How bad do you want to be saved?
How bad do you want to do whatever it takes to not end up in hell?
Do you know what is at stake?
Do you realise that this is about life and death? That this is a very serious matter and decision to make? Eternal condemnation to those who don’t believe, but eternal life to those who not only believe, but have kept the faith to the end! Have kept yourself free from sin? Have kept God’s commandments to the end? Have persevered and endured to the end?
So, how serious are you to do all that Jesus and the apostles have explicitly instructed us to do?
