Genesis 18:18 Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him? All the nations of the world were then able to come to Jesus and have the same opportunity to salvation with eternal life, believing that Jesus is the Son of God. Jesus replaced, and became the New Temple, Jesus replaced, and became the New Covenant, Jesus replaced animal sacrifice and became the sacrificial Lamb, once for all, when He laid down His life on the cross, thus, Jesus became the better promise, which through Him, all nations might have eternal life! Jesus became the final sacrifice for Israel, and for all the nations to partake of eternal life through the shed blood of Jesus Christ! For God no longer had pleasure in their sacrifices.
Hebrews 10:6 In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure.
Even when the hand of God was bringing forth the people of Israel out of Egypt, they began, and continued to groan, rebel, complain, and continued in disobedience to the Word of God. God destroyed many of His own people for that. The point here is to see that even those that were chosen at that time, lost their lives then. So even those that were part of the “chosen people” were destroyed due to their complaining, their rebellion, their disobedience, their idolatry and their constant breaking of God’s Laws.
The Israelites didn’t even learn from their father’s past disobedience, that with Abraham, they didn’t even get to the promised land due to all their disobedience, rebellion, idolatry, and simply not keeping the laws. However, God was longsuffering, and finally gave them the land that was not theirs in the first place. God took the land from other wicked nations, and gave it to Israel. See Deuteronomy verses 9:4,5 below.
Deuteronomy 9:1 Hear, O Israel: Thou art to pass over Jordan this day, to go in to possess nations greater and mightier than thyself, cities great and fenced up to heaven,
Deuteronomy 9:2 A people great and tall, the children of the Anakims, whom thou knowest, and of whom thou hast heard say, Who can stand before the children of Anak!
Deuteronomy 9:3 Understand therefore this day, that the LORD thy God is he which goeth over before thee; as a consuming fire he shall destroy them, and he shall bring them down before thy face: so shalt thou drive them out, and destroy them quickly, as the LORD hath said unto thee.
Deuteronomy 9:4 Speak not thou in thine heart, after that the LORD thy God hath cast them out from before thee, saying, For my righteousness the LORD hath brought me in to possess this land: but for the wickedness of these nations the LORD doth drive them out from before thee.
Deuteronomy 9:5 Not for thy righteousness, or for the uprightness of thine heart, dost thou go to possess their land: but for the wickedness of these nations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee, and that he may perform the word which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
Deuteronomy 9:6 Understand therefore, that the LORD thy God giveth thee not this good land to possess it for thy righteousness; for thou art a stiffnecked people.
Deuteronomy 9:7 Remember, and forget not, how thou provokedst the LORD thy God to wrath in the wilderness: from the day that thou didst depart out of the land of Egypt, until ye came unto this place, ye have been rebellious against the LORD.
Deuteronomy 9:8 Also in Horeb ye provoked the LORD to wrath, so that the LORD was angry with you to have destroyed you.
Deuteronomy 9:9 When I was gone up into the mount to receive the tables of stone, even the tables of the covenant which the LORD made with you, then I abode in the mount forty days and forty nights, I neither did eat bread nor drink water:
Deuteronomy 9:10 And the LORD delivered unto me two tables of stone written with the finger of God; and on them was written according to all the words, which the LORD spake with you in the mount out of the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly.
Deuteronomy 9:11 And it came to pass at the end of forty days and forty nights, that the LORD gave me the two tables of stone, even the tables of the covenant.
Deuteronomy 9:12 And the LORD said unto me, Arise, get thee down quickly from hence; for thy people which thou hast brought forth out of Egypt have corrupted themselves; they are quickly turned aside out of the way which I commanded them; they have made them a molten image.
Deuteronomy 9:13 Furthermore the LORD spake unto me, saying, I have seen this people, and, behold, it is a stiffnecked people:
Deuteronomy 9:14 Let me alone, that I may destroy them, and blot out their name from under heaven: and I will make of thee a nation mightier and greater than they.
Deuteronomy 9:15 So I turned and came down from the mount, and the mount burned with fire: and the two tables of the covenant were in my two hands.
Deuteronomy 9:16 And I looked, and, behold, ye had sinned against the LORD your God, and had made you a molten calf: ye had turned aside quickly out of the way which the LORD had commanded you.
Deuteronomy 9:17 And I took the two tables, and cast them out of my two hands, and brake them before your eyes.
Deuteronomy 9:18 And I fell down before the LORD, as at the first, forty days and forty nights: I did neither eat bread, nor drink water, because of all your sins which ye sinned, in doing wickedly in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.
Deuteronomy 9:19 For I was afraid of the anger and hot displeasure, wherewith the LORD was wroth against you to destroy you. But the LORD hearkened unto me at that time also.
Deuteronomy 9:20 And the LORD was very angry with Aaron to have destroyed him: and I prayed for Aaron also the same time.
Deuteronomy 9:21 And I took your sin, the calf which ye had made, and burnt it with fire, and stamped it, and ground it very small, even until it was as small as dust: and I cast the dust thereof into the brook that descended out of the mount.
Deuteronomy 9:22 And at Taberah, and at Massah, and at Kibrothhattaavah, ye provoked the LORD to wrath.
Deuteronomy 9:23 Likewise when the LORD sent you from Kadeshbarnea, saying, Go up and possess the land which I have given you; then ye rebelled against the commandment of the LORD your God, and ye believed him not, nor hearkened to his voice.
Deuteronomy 9:24 Ye have been rebellious against the LORD from the day that I knew you.
Deuteronomy 9:25 Thus I fell down before the LORD forty days and forty nights, as I fell down at the first; because the LORD had said he would destroy you.
Deuteronomy 9:26 I prayed therefore unto the LORD, and said, O Lord GOD, destroy not thy people and thine inheritance, which thou hast redeemed through thy greatness, which thou hast brought forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand.
Deuteronomy 9:27 Remember thy servants, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; look not unto the stubbornness of this people, nor to their wickedness, nor to their sin:
Deuteronomy 9:28 Lest the land whence thou broughtest us out say, Because the LORD was not able to bring them into the land which he promised them, and because he hated them, he hath brought them out to slay them in the wilderness.
Deuteronomy 9:29 Yet they are thy people and thine inheritance, which thou broughtest out by thy mighty power and by thy stretched out arm.
Why do so many people still believe that Israel today is Biblical? Because of being deceived by man, and not trusting in God through prayer, reading His Word, and even fasting if need be? Satan continues to use deception which man embraces as truth. Many people still don’t want to read the Word of God, (Bible) for whatever reason? Therefore, these people rely on man’s interpretation, opinions, books they’ve written, et cetera. If we would simply read the Word of God ourselves, and pray to God to reveal to us the Truth of His Word, we would have understanding through knowing the Truth! If people don’t have the Holy Spirit dwelling in them, then they will continue to struggle understanding the Word of God and trying to discern false doctrine from the Truth!
Colossians 2:8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
Galatians 1:6 I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel,
Galatians 1:7 which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ.
People have been interpreting the Word of God for centuries, and this belief, of Israel today being Biblical, continues to be passed on from generation to generation until it becomes etched in stone as gospel. And still to this day, people keep interpreting the Word of God, but the Word of God is not designed nor meant to be interpreted! This accounts for the numerous pseudo Christian denominations.
2Peter 1:20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
2Peter 1:21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
This verse explicitly tells us that no prophecy of the Scripture should be interpreted! You cannot rely on man’s interpretation and accept it as truth! You cannot rely on your own interpretation of God’s Word or how you feel or think you see it! But through the Holy Spirit you’ll have been given the truth, the knowledge, the understanding, and revelation directly from God! This is why the Holy Spirit is so vital in any ‘born again’ Christians walk with Jesus Christ! See the following verse, 1John 2:27. I was ignorant of the truth of God’s Word. But now I understand the process how to receive the truth. Matthew 11:25 “At that time Jesus answered and said, “I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and prudent and have revealed them to babes.”
I wanted to know the truth so bad! I didn’t want to be deceived! I kept reading and reading and praying and praying to God, and God has blessed me, has opened my eyes, my mind and my heart to the truth of His Word. The Truth is there, right there in His Word, and God wants us to know His Word! It is so amazing and exciting to receive revelation from God about His Word! Please, even this I say of myself, don’t just take my word for it, but pray to God before you read His Word and ask and request that God reveal to you the truth of His Word, to give you understanding, knowledge, and wisdom, as God said that He will give to all liberally, wisdom to all that ask! There is only One Truth of God’s Word!
1John 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.
2Corinthians 4:3 But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, 2Corinthians 4:4 whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.
Ephesians 5:6 Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.
Philippians 2:16 Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.
We know that the law could not save anyone. We know that the law did not make anyone holy or righteous. We know that the law could not make you perfect nor free from the dominion of sin. We are no longer under that law, but under Grace! Therefore, this is why Jesus came, to set man free from the power of sin and death. Jesus came to lay down His life for all mankind, for all people, both for the Jews and Gentiles alike. So, instead of the former laws being written on stone, Jesus came to write them in our hearts, and in our minds! Everything to the Jew first, then the Gentiles. But, once the Jews rejected Jesus, this opened the door to all mankind, all peoples of all nations of the world. Jesus became the Temple, our rest, our only means of salvation to eternal life! Those that believe in Jesus, and obey the Word of God, the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and endure to the end will be saved! But to those that do not believe in Jesus, will suffer the wrath and judgment on that day that Jesus returns and will suffer eternal condemnation! Don’t you want to know the truth?
John 8:31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
John 8:51 Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death.
If you are of faith, then you are an offspring of Abraham, through faith! God justified Abraham in righteousness for his faith. So all that believe in Jesus by faith are justified by God through faith, regardless if you are a Jew or Gentile? As Jews, they make up the Olive Tree, thereby, the Gentiles will be grafted in to the Olive Tree, thus becoming fellow heirs and an offspring of Abraham through faith. Any Jew that did not believe in Jesus, was cut out or removed from the Olive Tree. However, if they repent and believe, then they would be re-grafted in the Olive Tree.
2Corinthians 3:1 Do we begin again to commend ourselves? or need we, as some others, epistles of commendation to you, or letters of commendation from you?
2Corinthians 3:2 Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men:
2Corinthians 3:3 Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.
2Corinthians 3:4 And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward:
2Corinthians 3:5 Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God;
2Corinthians 3:6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.
2Corinthians 3:7 But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away:
2Corinthians 3:8 How shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious?
2Corinthians 3:9 For if the ministration of condemnation be glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory.
2Corinthians 3:10 For even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect, by reason of the glory that excelleth.
2Corinthians 3:11 For if that which is done away was glorious, much more that which remaineth is glorious.
2Corinthians 3:12 Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech:
2Corinthians 3:13 And not as Moses, which put a vail over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished:
2Corinthians 3:14 But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ.
2Corinthians 3:15 But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart.
2Corinthians 3:16 Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away.
2Corinthians 3:17 Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
2Corinthians 3:18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
Paul starts out stating that the Law, which was written on stone, has been replaced by the Spiritual Law written in our hearts! That is, the Word of God, which is the Spirit of the living God. Paul continues on saying that we all must put our trust in the LORD God through the Spirit of the Word of the new covenant, which the Spirit gives life, and not by the letter of the Law, because the letter of the Law is death, not eternal life! Although Paul refers to the Law as glorious, how much more glorious is the new covenant in righteousness through Jesus Christ? Paul then concludes by saying that the children of Israel were blinded by the veil of the Old Testament because of their disobedience, and therefore could not see that the veil was taken away in Jesus Christ! Paul continues to state that even when Moses is read from the Old Testament, the veil remains on their hearts. However, the veil can be removed when one turns to Jesus Christ! NOTE: When Paul speaks, he speaks as a natural born Jew using words such as; “we”, “us”, “them”, “they” in referring to Israel, noting that all Israel must turn to Jesus Christ, just as all the Gentiles must do as well! If you see, Paul speaks the Words of God to the Gentiles as to the Jews. There is no separation between the two! The Jews that believed and accepted Jesus, are now the Church, the body of Christ, the Bride just as the Gentiles. The Jews that rejected Jesus will be condemned unless of course they repent, get baptised, filled with the Holy Spirit as they look to Jesus Christ for salvation! The two must come together to be one in Jesus Christ, in the body of Christ, the Church, the Bride for which Jesus Christ is coming to retrieve!
I give all praise and glory to God the Father and to our LORD and Saviour Jesus Christ for revealing to me the truth and understanding of His Word!
