It’s not about saying some non-Biblical sinners prayer and ask God to come into your heart and think that you are automatically saved and filled with His Spirit? It actually requires much more than that!

You don’t just decide that you want to ask God to come in your heart and say a few words or repeat some words that a man is telling you to? Then once you are done, he then tells you that you are saved! Wrong! This procedure is not Biblical, not how it is done. Actually, you must first hear the call of God, God calling you to Him, and respond as such! Then you must repent, and be baptised, immersed in water.

If the Gospel is for us today, then the Holy Spirit is for us as well!

If God called you, and you answered, you must repent, be baptised in water, then you would be filled with the Holy Spirit, speak in tongues, or at least have the gift of healing, interpretation, wisdom, knowledge, prophecy, if not, then did God really call you? Did God really fill you with the Holy Spirit? Did you answer the call? You must answer the call of God, not ask him to simply come into your heart to be your personal Saviour! For the gift of the Holy Spirit is to all that are afar off, as many as the LORD God shall call.

You must be of a broken and contrite heart

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptised every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Acts 2:39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

Matthew 21:44 And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.

Luke 20:18 Whosoever shall fall upon that stone shall be broken; but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.

Psalms 34:18 The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.

Psalms 51:17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.

Isaiah 57:15 For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

Isaiah 66:2 For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.
