Not all wars had to do with religion. Wars came about regarding trades, opium, land, gold, silver, drug trade, slave trade and just about anything man could think about fighting over?

There were wars before Jesus, and of course wars and rumours of wars after Jesus!

As Jesus stated in the following Scriptures:

Matthew 24:6  And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

Mark 13:7 And when ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, be ye not troubled: for such things must needs be; but the end shall not be yet.

Luke 21:9 But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by.

As we can see, Jesus said, “not to be troubled” with all the sounds of wars and rumours of wars. All these things (wars and rumours of wars) must first come to pass, but the end is not yet! “All these things are just the beginning of sorrows!”

As we can see, those wars and rumours of wars have been fulfilled, and have continued right on through to the present! So then, why are we worried or concerned about the wars and rumours of wars that continue to go on around us?

Perhaps through the centuries, people of those various era’s were fearful and afraid as well? But look where we are? Centuries have passed by, and the only concern for those before us, should have been being right with God! The end hasn’t happened after any of those previous wars during the last two thousand years?

Jesus did not give us a spirit of fear!

2Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Jesus gave us the spirit of peace, comfort, joy and strength; along with power, and of love, and of a sound mind! Remember, Jesus already told us when the end will come:
Matthew 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

Mark 13:10 And the gospel must first be published among all nations.

As we can see, the Gospel has been preached throughout all the nations. So, whether it be that Jesus is tarrying or simply hasn’t decided that it is time yet, we know that the return of Jesus, His second coming could be at any moment!

Jesus said that His coming will be like a thief in the night, no one knows when He will return, not the day, nor the hour! We must simply all be ready, not just for His coming, but upon your death if it so happens to be? That will indeed be your last day! Therefore, we must all be ready for that glorious Day, whether you die first and rise from the grave upon His coming or alive and meet those from the grave that rose first upon His coming with His glorious angels!

Also as Jesus has said below: All those things that Jesus was telling the apostles must first come to pass, be fulfilled, have taken place, before the end of that generation. All that is left to be fulfilled now, is the actual second coming of Jesus Christ our LORD and Saviour!

Matthew 24:34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.

Mark 13:30 Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done.

Luke 21:22 For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.

Luke 21:32 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled.

So remember, Jesus did not give us the spirit of fear. We’re not to be fearful, nor concerned with the goings on of the world, but to be ready and abiding in Christ in the Holy Spirit of Truth! We are to be looking for His coming, not looking for signs of the end times, which there are not, (the only signs will be the ones that precede the instant Jesus comes, on that last Day) but to be focused on witnessing God’s Word to as many people as possible. To be fruitful with the administering of the gifts of the Holy Spirit that God has given us, by producing the righteous fruits of the gifts of the Spirit, i.e. the word of wisdom; the word of knowledge; faith; the gifts of healing; the working of miracles; prophecy; discerning of spirits; divers kinds of tongues; and the interpretation of tongues.

Jesus is coming as a thief in the night on the last day. Your last day could be your death, so you must be ready! Even if you are alive when Jesus comes, you must be ready! All that have died before us, it was their last day! There was no concern with signs with them. It just comes down to being ready, whether you rise from the grave or rise while remaining upon His coming!
